A Brief Moment in Time ...

Photography has been part of my life for almost 20 years. My first design job involved Art Directing photos-shoots around the world, taking those images and creating beautiful layouts for the home shopping catalog industry. I had a lot of fun doing this and learnt a great deal from all the photographers, assistants and models I had the pleasure of working with. I took everything in as I stood behind the camera and photographer, learning the techniques, taking advice and dreaming of the day when someone would hire me as the photographer. During all this time, I practiced the art with my own camera on vacation, at the park, with family photos. It was not long before I had the confidence to say - I can do this, and I started offering photography as part of my graphic design business. Some of my clients were looking for product photography for their brochures, magazines and flyers and I was able to provide it. Then I was hired for specific photo shoots. I had made it!
